It may be partial (just the tip) or total (on all sides of the nose). Of all interventions this one is the trickiest. It requires a total agreement between the surgeon and the patient. Several consultations are required before surgery, including MORPHING. There is no certainty of the outcome but morphing allows a common approach and understanding of the result.
This surgery is only exceptionally covered and justified in cases of trauma with respiratory distress.
- Irregularity (bone fragment) may appear after a few months and requires a recovery.
- Temporary difficulty of breathing is possible.
- A secondary retouch is possible.
